Commitment Services

A Commitment Service is for couples who wish to have a public affirmation of their love with family and friends but have chosen not to legally marry. This can be in the case of same sex couples, but also to couples who have chosen not to be formally married.

Renewal of Vows

Traditionally couples may wish to renew their vows at a milestone in their marriage, perhaps at their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary. A renewal of vows can reflect the original vows said at their marriage or they may choose to rewrite new vows to reaffirm their love and commitment to each other.

Renewal of vows can also be a way of sharing the original emotions of a wedding if couples have married overseas when not all friends and family could attend the original ceremony.

Baby Naming Ceremony

A baby naming is the opportunity for parents to celebrate with family and friends the beginning of a new life and welcome their new arrival.

A naming day can also be a wonderful way of introducing a step child or adopted child into a family.

Funeral and Memorial Services

The passing of a loved one can be a sad time and funerals are a rite of passage for the deceased but also an important step in the grieving process for family and friends. A funeral can be a time of celebrating the life of someone who has passed and can include music, poetry and a sharing of numerous accounts of that person's life.

A memorial service can take place before or after a funeral service and some families choose to have a memorial service at a future point in time such as the anniversary of their passing.
